NAME
dos_qfsetfctwait() - Set wait factor on 'qfile'.
SYNOPSIS
dos_qfsetfctwait(qf, ticks);
void dos_qfsetfctwait(struct qfile *, LONG);
FUNCTION
With this function asynchronous file descriptors
can be adjusted in the way that this much time
must elapse until checking for the handler reply.
Funcs affected: 'dos_qfread()', 'dos_qfwrite()'.
By default 3 ticks are used in 3 attempts.
INPUTS
qf - Ptr to a valid 'qfile' file descriptor.
ticks - Amount of time to wait in ticks. 0 == no
delay, -1 == cooperative checks(this is
considered insiginificant delay).
RETURNS
No output.
BASES
SysBase, DOSBase
NOTES
Do not set too high or else there will be lags,
and thus the data rate will be poor.
If you want to do something between requests and
you will call 'dos_qfwait()' afterwards then you
can safely use 0. Value of -1 should be used in
a tight loop where your process must get lots of
CPU time.
Please note, when going to make a prog that will
transfer from one async. handle to the another
async. handle then one of handles must always be
of a positive value so that CPU load is sane.
